The most effective way to find data on this site is to go to the station locator page, accessible via the URL listed here. Click on the region or station of interest. The stations shown on the web site are the National Ocean Service Tidal Reference Stations for the U.S. Choose to see a data inventory and then go back and choose the kind of data you would like to extract. Possibilities include: preliminary, often real-time water level data; verified, recently collected water level data; ocean/water data consisting of wind information, air temperature, water temperature and barometric pressure; predictions of tides for the next six months; lists of benchmarks in the area; and station information. You may then extract a subset of the data, specifying parameter, time period, units (meters or feet, e.g.) time (GMT or local standard), and data format (on screen, comma delineated). Tide predictions are available in international, standard, and postscript formats. There is also the option to plot water level, water temperature, air temperature and pressure for the current day.
It is unclear whether all available data is on-line or if the more historical data must be requested direcly from CO-OPS.
