SIO Shore Station Data contains sea surface data - temperature, salinity and density - for the United States West Coast since as early as 1916 to the present. The data are collected by approximately 20 shore stations located along the West Coast, most in California. The web site posts monthly and annual means and anomalies for coastal sea surface temperature for all stations for the year 1994. Otherwise, the site posts raw and averaged data for the Scripps Pier station only for the period 1916-1996. Sea surface temperature and/or salinity data for all stations is posted on a linked ftp site at: <ftp://nemo.ucsd.edu/pub/shore/.> The data are organized by time period and location.
